Researching...researching...researching

Dave and I have been researching adoption agencies and countries for the last week or so.  It is so overwhelming!  Dave and I met with Lindsay, a caseworker at Maine's Children's Home for Little Wanderers in Waterville last night and she definitely gave us some food for thought.  It appears that adopting from Korea is out due to the fact that the agency Holt International doesn't work with Maine's Children's Home in regards to Korea.  The only agency that we could deal with directly in Maine is not accepting applications right now.  Korea is the only country that requires prospective adoptive parents to use an agency in their home state.

We spoke with Debra today from Gladney Center for Adoption and she asked us bunch of questions to determine which of their programs would be a good fit for us.  We all agreed on Honduras! It is a brand new program so we are wary of that and will be doing more research on the country itself as well as talk to other agencies working with Honduras and compare everything.  So, if everything checks out, Honduras may just be our country!
